続々

ぞくぞく【続々】

〔続けざまに〕 successively; in (rapid [close, quick]) succession; one after another; one upon the heels of another.

●(人が)続々やって来る[出ていく] pour [flow] in [out]

・(人が)続々集まる assemble [gather, come together] one after the other

・続々出現するよく似た商品 similar brands that spring up in (rapid) succession [like so many mushrooms]

・続々とやって来る請求書[手紙, 申し込み] a crop of bills [letters, applications].

●問題が続々起こってきた. Problems cropped up one after another. | I had a crop of troubles.

・注文が続々と舞い込んでいる. Orders pour in. | We are flooded with orders.

・午前中客が続々と詰めかけた. He received a cascade [stream] of visitors through the morning.

・それらの犯罪が続々と解決された. Those crimes were cleared up in quick succession.
